Racing

Racing is a very important part of what we offer. We create an inclusive and supportive environment for members to grow their skills.
It has always been a continual focus and our BNECC Race Team is something we are very proud of. Starting official racing in 2019 it continues to grow, with some great results shared by it's members and an Elite team racing in the Queensland Road Team Series in 2023.

We cater for all racers from the beginner through to the elite racer.
Our D graders get among the action and getting more experience, through to our C grade contingent, our committed B grade racers and to our A grade elites, some who are at World Class level.
Members who are interested in getting involved in racing are assisted by experienced racers and the Club Coach. Every Wednesday the club holds training courses, racing forums and information sessions to assist new and skilled racers to improve their riding skills, race craft and gain experience on the different race courses.
Racing is just as popular with our Junior and Women members as it is with the Men, and Club members are encouraged and supported to participate in various race formats including road racing, criterium and stage events.
Furthering the Club's commitment to racing, a Club sponsored race team focusing on our Masters riders was launched in 2019. The team grew in what is today the Entago PB QLD Plunge Pools race team, winning last year QRTS, and continuing to go from strength to strength.
Brisbane Cycling Club is competing in the Queensland Road Team Series in 2023 in the Elite Male category, which comprises of four race weekends that includes road races, criteriums & individual/team time trials.
